HEALTH & SAFETY
Ready When You Are
You can feel confident that Boston Sightseeing Tours (BST) will support our guests in healthy and safe travel, and that we are taking extra precautions when it comes to how we operate our tours moving forward. Read on to see the health and safety measures we are taking on our tours. We hope this provides peace-of-mind when choosing to tour with us.
We want you to feel relaxed and comfortable. We’re hard at work behind the scenes with a focus on maintaining high standards of safety on our tours. Boston Sightseeing Tours will do everything in our power to ensure a safe journey for our guests and guides. Some of the precautions that we will be implementing include:
Limit private group size to 10 people or less for walking tours and 5 people for less for riding tours while avoiding close contact with others by maintaining a distance of at least 6 feet, whenever possible.
Masks must be worn at all times during the tour - This is not optional.
Coach bus passengers are asked to avoid standing or sitting within 6 feet of the bus driver and tour guide.
We will be sure to do routine cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces, and make sure our bus company partners do the same.
Vehicle windows will remain open during the tour for optimal air flow. on private tours.
We will provide an alcohol-based hand sanitizer containing at least 60% alcohol for your use as well as disinfecting wipes.
Keeping You Informed
BST and our network of staff, guides, and vendors are constantly monitoring the travel landscape to prioritize your health and safety. We will communicate with you about any changes or updates regarding booked travel and our on-tour safety procedures. You can continue to refer to this webpage for the most up-to-date information.
A Healthy Start
You can expect the temperature of all guests to be taken at the start of the tour. A temperature below 100.4 F will be required for participation in the tour. Masks must be worn at all times during the tour - This is not optional.
Expertly Trained Guides
Your BST guides will receive additional training on health and safety protocols such as sanitization, and physical distancing, and implement these protocols on your tour.
Physical Distancing—Not Social Distancing!
Since most of our tours are private, your group will be limited to those with whom you already know. We limit private group size to 10 people or less on walking tours and 5 people or less on riding tours and avoid close contact with others by maintaining a distance of at least six feet, whenever possible. We will avoid large crowds and busy sidewalks the best that we can which may mean taking alternate walking routes.
Keeping Things Squeaky Clean
We will be sure to do routine cleaning and disinfection of frequently touched surfaces, and make sure our bus company
partners do the same. Equipment and support vehicles will be sanitized daily, and shared high-touch surfaces will be
sanitized more frequently. We encourage you to bring your own supply of hand sanitizer and face coverings to use
throughout your journey—extras will be available for your use.
